Events of the English Persuasion

I don't know about you, but my idea of a good time is reading Shakespeare. Even better is watching Shakespeare. Ten times better than that is when a talented troupe is right in the Hudson Valley performing Shakespeare.
I had the pleasure of seeing "A Comedy of Errors," performed entirely in rap. Amazing, amazing, amazing are three words that would describe it. I did not stop laughing the entire time and the actors were fabulous.  Not only that, but the Boscobel is situated on a beautiful manor that overlooks the Hudson. Bring a picnic complete with mead and wine and you'll have a smashing Shakespearean experience.

Still can't get enough? Check out the Renaissance Fair. This is only for the truly devout as some of the actors can really scare the pants off you. My first year a groundling chased me with a turkey leg and threatened to put me in the stocks. All in good fun is what I declare! I'll be there this Labor Day Monday.
