Career and Internship Fair

Here ye! Here ye! September 21st is the Second Annual Volunteer Fair. Why is it good to volunteer? Not only do you give back to the community, but you get INVOLVED in the community. If we are thinking along the line of cost and benefit, then you know that volunteer work is a great place to meet people in your possible field.

And for all you savvy English majors, here is a list of a few companies:

Historic Huguenot Street

Unison Arts Center
Ulster Literacy Association
New Paltz Youth Program

***I volunteered as an Educator at the Mohonk Preserve last Spring and it was wonderful. I basically took kids on hikes, and helped the leaders organize a lesson plan. Great experience! Also, Mohonk GIVES you a free pass to The Preserve and The Mountain House with unlimited benefits. A pass like that would cost you over $115. Here is some more information:

The coordinator of the program is named Roland Ellis. Contact him directly if you are interested: rellis433@earthlink.net
