...that's the motivation behind this blog. I came to SUNY New Paltz in 2005, bright eyed, innocent, and ready to make as many bad decisions as possible. I think for the first month of college I considered it more of a summer camp excursion and that actual work entailed waking up and getting to class. Actually the first class I attended as a college student, I fell asleep. It was a 12:25 class. Needless to say freshman and sophmore year were one of the hardest I ever experienced. You name it I went through it. There were crazy roommates, new friends, no car, no money, and general education courses galore. In between life there was school. Now, school comes first, but it took many years of trying to find the right balance. But throughout it all I thought, "no matter what happens Alicia consider it material for a Pulitzer prize winning novel."
I wanted to create this blog for the purpose of putting everything in one place. Here, you will find my workshops, information on citation, grammar tutorials, library help, events around campus, dorky english literature stuff, art, music, history, food, etc. etc. If you don't see what you want, write to me.
